DEAR BELOVED

We thank you our brothers and sisters for helping us aquire this piece of property where we plan on buidling a big church buiding and also a nursery school for the little biys and girls in our community who can't afford school. As a church , we want to reach out to the hurting community more than ever before.

Both of these pictures of show the area we have prepared for big church buidling that we hope will accomodate the growing numbers of christians. Our evengelism teams are moving to all areas of our community teaching and preaching the word and so we pray that the lord provides us with a place big enough to fellowship with His flock.

Here are the brothers constructing the back walls of the building we are now working on because we have totally run out of space at our old church building.

God blessed us with another qualified civil ingineer( In green ) called Musisi, he has been working with one international construction company call ROKO constructions in Kampala. I baptized in a month ago. He is working on the front wall.

Here is a pit latrine that is 50 feet deep, we partitioned it into for holes and two urinals, brother Musana is in charge here. We have health inspectors and town engineers coming and making sure all standards are met as we go on with the constructions

Here is the group of 24 that was baptized last Sunday at river Mpanga, please remember to alway pray for these babies in Christ.

I took this picture last Sunday and I thought I thought share it with you. Thank you my brothers and sisters for praying and supporting the work of the lord here.

Here are some of the students having lunch at the youth bible camp 2012. Our dream is to have bible camps with the young men and women every year and so please you are welcome to pray and support us for this noble course.

Some of the young men deep in the word at the youth bible camp 2012. Kindly allow me to take this opportunity to appeal for a bibles donation because many of our church members do not have a bible and have been coming to me requesting for one. God bless you

Dear Beloved in Christ,

Re: CHURCH PROGRESS REPORT

BACK GROUND:

This report gives the details of the activities that were carried out in the month of January by the Church here in Fort Portal Uganda.
The church in Fort Portal started in 2007 with 45 members. Since the year 2007, the church has grown both spiritually and numerically. The church now has 500 members from in and around Fort Portal.

When we first began in 2007 to worship God as a collective group, the church members were not spiritually mature and had no idea of how to lead, now we have church leaders leading different positions within the congregation determined to take the work of God to all places and winning souls for Christ.

Today, we have been able to purchase land and we are constructing a new Church structure for worship services because we have outgrown our current building that only holds approximately 300. We are so very thankful and grateful to the brothers and sisters of Portangeles Church of Christ in Washington State for their support that is allowing us to build our new church building.

EVANGELISM:

Me and the other Church Ministers as well as visiting Preachers from the capital city of Kampala and Jinja held a Youth Bible Meeting for 4 days and nights in the month of January at a Christian youth Camp in a village called Kanyamakerre-Kyabaraha, Fort Portal municipality east of our Church. During the Youth Bible Meeting Camp, 17 young men and women gave their lives to Christ. On Feb 1st, 2012 8 people also accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and were baptized. We have now started teaching the foundational teachings of faith to these new brothers and sister in Christ. We appeal for more material on foundational teachings of faith to help strength our new converts. Thank you so much Brothers and Sisters at Greenville Avenue Church of Christ for the wonderful teaching material you have always given to us, God bless you.

1
BAPTISM:

During the month of January, 35 souls were baptized and added to the lord. We give all the glory to the Lord God in the heavens

EDUCATION:

All our children with support from HHF, Brother Don and his friends at PACC were able to go back to school on January 30th, the new semester and we are very sure all their school fees p and scholastic materials are going to be taken care of by the end of this week. They are happily back and studying in their respective schools.

YOUTH BIBLE CAMP:

This Youth Bible Camp was the first of its kind in the region where by we hosted, fed, taught and directed. 100 Youth received a new experience of meeting with other youth members from other Sister Churches from villages like Kanyansohera, The Canyon County Church of Christ, where Brother Jackson is the Minister. Brother Patrice is the Minister at the Temple Spring Church of Christ a Congo refugees congregation. Many visiting Keynoters speakers spoke at our Youth Bible Camp, like Brother Isaac, Brother Okumu, Brother David, Brother Bright and Brother William. It was during this camp that 17 young men and women gave their lives to Christ. We want to thank the brothers and sisters who blessed us and gave toward this successful Youth Bible Camp 2012 and also who prayed for us. Thank you, thank you so much our brothers and sisters. May the Lord God richly reward you. The theme for this year’s Youth Bible Camp was THAT I MAY KNOW HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS RESSURECTION, Phil 3:10.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:

I want to sincerely thanks to HHF and the Board of Directors, we were able to have Christmas party for all the Church which was very good and all the members appreciated everything including families that were not members of our Church. Many of our member invited non members and the un-church. All our children eat, drank and were very excited by the party. Thank you again HHF for supporting us to be able to feed these children and also buy clothes for the women and mosquito nets for the members of the church and the community.

Many families were over heard thanking the Lord for the meal and gifts they received. One child I heard myself said” this is the best Christmas I have ever had’’. I felt tears of joy rolling from my eyes because of the look of this child whom I later found out his name is Tom. This child was so malnourished and I am sure the Christmas meal is all he’s going to have for Christmas. This child Tom lives alone in a hut that was abandoned by a village lady. Ever since the Christmas meal, Tom has never missed a Sunday at Church.

FUTURE PLANS:

We are planning to host a Leadership Bible Camp which we are expecting to have a large number of our Church Leaders to come and attend.

We would like to solicit the help of anyone who is able to help us purchase a projector that will aid us to reach out to many inside and outside the church as well as the entire community and other communities. A projector would allow us to show Christian films and Bible lessons and aid us to teach the people where we want so much to take the gospel.

Evangelism is the best way to develop and grow the church. This is where we want to focus and put more effort into daily.

God bless you

Because He lives, Brother Kizito Ronald

GOD'S MANY BLESSINGS

Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters.

I greet you in Jesus' name and thank you so much for your continued support and prayers for the ministry here in Uganda.

I must share with you that the lord is indeed blessing us because we have seen His mighty hand at work both in our lives and the lives of those around us.

Many people have given their lives to Jesus and lives have been changed both spiritually and physically. We give God all the glory.

The lord has blessed us with a piece of land close to 2 acres where we shall put a permanent church building big enough to accommodate between 700 and 1000 people. Please continue to pray for us as we await on the lord to bless us with the needed finances to construct the church building. On the same church architectual plan we have office space, a storage room, an electrical room and about four class rooms,

Your prayers toward this noble cause will be highly appreciated.

God bless you

Ronald for and on behalf of the Living Spring Church of Christ Fort Portal

INVITATIONS TO THE FIELD

Brother Waswa is getting ready for baptism
This here is the Mubende Team standing together with the Fort Portal Team of three

The Kasese team Can't wait to get to the field to tell the word.
This is how the Kasese tribe carry their stuff, I took this picture of the two ladies carrying Jerrycans of water miles away from their homes. This tribes live in the slopes of Mt Rwenzori also known as the Mountains of the moon.
The chairman LC 3 of East Division where we are located speaks to the congregation.

Here are some of the Christians standing outside the church building during and after the chuch service due to lack of space in the building.
These Sisters gave their lives to Christ.
Brother Vincent and I sharing the gospel during the church Service.
Very many during last sunday service came forward to recieve Christ, It was a very exciting moment for us all as they came to Christ, thank you Jesus.
Thank Jesus for these men, women and kids. Glory to you in the heavens.

These here is Sister Kellen. Kellen was a very strong moslem woman she however is a christian lady, praise the lord.

The last few weeks have been such a great blessing to us with so many activities taking place here. We had over 600 attending church and many gave their lives to Christ. Among those who gave their lives to Christ is a Moslem faith woman leader in the mosque, she actually went by the title of Hajat which means a woman who has gone to Mecca to fulfill one of the many requirements of a true Moslem woman. During invitation time she came forward and declared Christ as her personal lord and savior and was baptized. We are so happy that the lord is moving in people’s lives here. She went home rejoicing and telling people about her new found friend and brother. She confided in me that she was scared of the people of her former faith but I told her stand strong in the lord Jesus because He rules over those she was scared of and so she went home a very strong and happy daughter of God. When she reached home, she called her son and declared to him that from then on she was a Christian woman, she did go down well with her son, he grabbed her by the hand, threw her to the ground and started beating her as she made an alarm. People came to rescue but her son ran away they could arrest him. I got a call later and went over and took her to the hospital she is right now being for the bruises and wounds and I tell you what? She is overwhelmed by the numbers of Christians who have gone over to show their love and solidarity, they have offered her prayers and food and she is quickly recovering. Please remember her in your prayers that she may be healed both spiritually and physically and that many of friends turned foes over her decision to follow may also turn around and take Jesus as their lord. Her new name is Kellen.

During the last 2 to 3 weeks I have invitations to go places to encourage churches and plant others in many different parts of Western Uganda and I have gone around with a team from the church to pray and ask God for these places to that we have invited to and I tell brothers and sister the lord is giving us places that we may take His gospel there and many may be set free in His name so all now we are asking of you is pray that He may provide what is needed for us to be able to go. We have already identified potential men of God who are willing to keep the fire burning for all we have got to do is start it. So far the invitations have come in from places like Ibanda, Kasese, Kyenjojo, Mubende and many others. All these places are within a range of 40 to 60 miles from Fort Portal where we are located right now.
The church building that we built a year a go is currently not enough to hold the surging number of people giving their lives to Christ that every Sunday we have people listen to the gospel standing outside the building. Because of the growths of the church, our church right now needs and pray for a PA system such that people in and out side the building can be able to hear the word being preached so please pray for us about this also.

The local authorities have indeed been very good to us because of what God is doing in the lives of the communities around the church and they have chosen our church to kick start and encourage some of the central government programs. Last the head of the local council authorities in our area locally known as the Chairman LC 3 of East division in Fort Portal prayed from our church and he encouraged Christians to work hard and have clean sanitations in and around their homesteads. He talked about preventative measures against Malaria that is Uganda’s number one killer disease. We were so blessed to have him around with us. He promised to stand with us in all we do to help our communities and those around us.
God bless you.

MANY BLESSINGS

Sister Kobugabe's fetishes were burnt on the day she was baptized
Here were are praying for after baptisms, Kubugabe is second from right.

Kubugabe is ready and excited to receive Christ

Sister Adyeeri is 86yrs and just gave her life to Jesus, praise the lord.

Brother Kaganda was among the many that have accepted Christ as their personal lord and savior
Our evangelism team is always on the move from one village to another sharing the word with many, it is indeed exciting to be able to serve the most high.

Men, women and young are all responding to the call as you see in the baptism pictures.

Two weeks ago a woman who has been belonging to the strongest cult here in the region gave her life to Christ and was baptized together with a group of 8 others who were immersed that day and after baptism I asked each on of them if they had anything in particular they wanted me to pray for right that moment after baptism and the Sister who belonged to the cult said’’ Brother Ronald could please pray for me because I am very confused for I do not know what to do for I have got lots of fetishes in my house yet I do not know what to do with them’’ I then asked her if it would be OK with her to let us go to her home and have her fetishes, she answered in the affirmative and so we went there after to her house and got lots of stuff from her secret room in her hut, took them to the church yard and burnt them and in the midst of all this Sister Kobugabe was jubilating that she now was free from Satan’s chains and free in Christ Jesus.

A few days later I went over to her house and asked her how she now felt being in Christ and she said to me “ Brother Ronald, Satan is a liar” I said why is that is that because I honestly wanted to hear what she had to say even though I knew she was right about it. She said because for a long time she has been hearing us sharing the good news and she wanted to give her life to the lord but that she had been warned by her cult leaders that if she ever gave her life to Jesus she be cursed by the cult community and then after she would a miserable death within four days after her baptism. I told her that curses of man to sons and daughters of the lord mean NOTHING and that they can’t kill her for she had done the right thing (accepting Christ as her lord and savior) before the lord. The bible

She now is a very confident and happy woman of the lord, Amen

Her cult group is headed by a self styled prophet who calls himself God with the most authority over the human race; he tells his followers that there is no Christ but him. He made his own bible for his people; he does not allow his followers to use modern medicine except with his personal permission. He basically controls the live of his followers to the extent that they each have to consult his personally for everything they may want to do. It is very unfortunate indeed so please my brothers and sister pray for those men, women and children who are not allowed to make decisions on their own and especially decisions that lead them to eternal life.

The lord’s church is growing with an average of 4 people being baptized every week. We have completely run out of space in the church building. We originally built a church building big enough for 250 people but as of today we are over 400. The other issue we are experiencing as church is the people who sit in the back can hardly hear the preacher because we do not have a PA system so we have many who crowd the from seats to be able to hear the preacher speak that every after church service we have crowds of Christians with terrible headaches caused by too much heat in the house asking our church nurse for pain killers.

Please pray for us that the lord may an able us to extend the church building and also buy a good PA system for both internal and external use. Right now with the exchange rate we are looking for about US $ 7,000 to be able to buy a good PA system we could use in the church and during the open air preaching so please if you would like to bless the lord’s work with any amounts of money to be used in his ministry or if you know of a friend who would be of help to us or if you know of a PA system that is ready for give away to a church kindly let me know about it then I will avail you with the details on where to send it to. My e-mail address for this is lordsboy@gmail.com

Thank you so much your support and God bless you

Bro Ronald

MANY SUBMIT TO CHRIST

Many attended church last Sunday during which over ten people gave their lives to Christ.

Many Brothers and Sisters have taken on Christ Jesus and here I am baptizing them.

The last three weeks have been such a blessing to the church in many amazing ways. First of all many people have given their lives to Christ Jesus as you have seen in the many different pictures posted, Widows and orphans have been helped, the poor of our church and village community have been given food and the sick have been visited and prayed for in their home. All this has been done by different ministries within the church. Each one of us has been busy doing what the lord has allowed us to do for the glorification of his name.

I thank you brothers and sisters who have supported us with so many prayers offered for the growth of the ministry and thank you so much for the financial support. May the lord continually bless you for you have made His work move on and many who had never heard about Him have been reached to because of you and given threir lives to Him, glory to Him in the heavens.

I have also been approached by men in the church requesting that the church may organize a married peoples seminar and I there extend our invitation to our brothers and sisters who have done this in the past to come speak to our married couples because we are ready to organize a seminar of that kind any time some one says he may be interested in helping speak.

Our kids Sunday school program is growing big with over 200 children so we the church in the process for acquiring Sunday school teaching material. Could you in know of a church, a store or a friend who could be willing to donate Sunday school teaching material to a church in Uganda Africa, please let me know and the lord will bless you for you will have reached many for Him.

God bless you.

Bro Ronald

GO YE THEREFORE

While the brothers were here we held an all ministry leaders meeting.
We also had lunch together.
Many were reached out to with the word and every we went many people turned to listen to Godly men speaking.
We are blessed to many children turn up in big numbers wherever we go, please pray for them for they are the tomorrow church and it is our responsibility to train live Godly lives and encourage them to look up to God.

We had an African traditional dance together with the vivsiting brothers and we were all very happy, thanks to you brother Gerald.

Our Sunday school music team presented great songs that left all of us very happy indeed.

Church could not seat all the people that communion was served was even served outside the building.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Mat 28:19-20

A team of brothers from the States has been here preaching Jesus from one village to another and I tell you it has been a great blessing to the church. Several months ago brother Dick, Vincent and I with Sisters Salina, Elizabeth and Joyce came together, prayed and fasted as we asked God to reveal to us the best way to reach out to the people with His word. Cell group meetings came to our minds and ever since we started meeting to share about Christ and eating together the church is everyday growing in numbers and in the process even when we get visitors who come to encourage and visit with us we take them around to share the experience and encourage the brothers and sisters in the lord in the many different cell groups. This is what exactly happened with the brothers that came to visit us for the last two weeks. They shared and prayed with us, encouraged us and held meetings with many different ministry leaders, ate with us and I promised to come back to encourage the church the more.

During their time here we shared with them about different ministry and asked to pray for us as we begin a very long journey in our spiritual lives.

We thank you so much brothers for the love you have for the Ugandan ministry and we pray blessings upon you. We miss you already for we were greatly inspired by you.

While the brothers were here we had an opportunity to take them around to many villages to preach Christ and people turned up in big numbers to listen so as to give their lives to Christ. Also, kids turned up in big numbers. The church has been blessed with lots of men who have got the heart to serve God and I thank the lord for such a gift to this young ministry because it is men and women like them that any young ministry will desire to have. Men and women with a burning desire to serve.

We ate together, danced to the African traditional music together and it all went well to the end.

Thank you so much brother Don, Mike and Scott for you visit with and God bless.

Bro Ronald and the entire Church.
